Who We Are

Tezzap is an AI-powered WhatsApp receptionist for Indian small and medium businesses (SMBs) — dentists, gift shops, sales teams, and more. We help businesses answer customer enquiries, book appointments, capture leads, and send daily digest reports, automatically.

Tezzap is operated by Tezzap Technologies (referred to as "Tezzap", "we", "us", or "our"). Our primary contact for data matters is privacy@tezzap.in.

What Data We Collect

  • Business account information: name, email address, business name, vertical, and subscription tier — collected when you sign up.
  • Knowledge base documents: Word documents or text you upload to train your AI receptionist.
  • Customer chat messages: messages sent to your AI receptionist by your end customers, including WhatsApp phone numbers where provided.
  • Booking and lead data: appointment requests, enquiry details, and contact information captured during conversations.
  • Usage analytics: page views, feature interactions, and error logs to help us improve the product. No advertising tracking.

How We Use Your Data

  • To power your AI receptionist and generate accurate, context-aware responses.
  • To send you end-of-day Excel digest emails summarising conversations and bookings.
  • To fulfil appointment bookings via Google Calendar integration (when enabled).
  • To send transactional and service emails (e.g., billing, onboarding, alerts).
  • To improve Tezzap's AI models and product features in an aggregated, anonymised form.

We do not sell your data. We do not use customer chat data for advertising.

DPDP Compliance

Tezzap processes personal data in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Under this Act:

  • Data Fiduciary: Tezzap Technologies determines the purpose and means of processing personal data.
  • Data Principals (individuals whose data is processed) have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of their personal data.
  • Consent: Business account data is processed under contractual necessity. End-customer data is processed under legitimate interest to deliver the service the business has configured.

To exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, email privacy@tezzap.in. We will respond within 30 days.

Data Retention

  • Chat messages: retained for 12 months from the date of the conversation, then automatically deleted.
  • Uploaded documents: retained until you delete them from your dashboard or close your account.
  • Account data: retained until you delete your account. On deletion, we remove your data within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

Tezzap uses the following sub-processors. Each processes data only as necessary to provide their specific service:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI response generation. Customer messages may be sent to Anthropic's API under their data processing agreement.
  • Google (Gemini AI, Google Calendar) — supplementary AI inference and calendar booking integration.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure.
  • Neon — serverless PostgreSQL database hosting.
  • Clerk — user authentication and session management.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (digests, alerts).

Customer Data and AI Processing

Messages sent by your end customers to the AI receptionist are processed by AI providers (Anthropic, Google) solely to generate responses. These providers operate under their own data processing agreements and do not use your customers' data to train their public models unless you have separately opted in to their programmes.

As the business owner using Tezzap, you are responsible for informing your customers that their messages are handled by an AI assistant.

Your Rights

You may, at any time:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information in your account.
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Port your data — we can export your account data on request.
